Times Record News Monday, June 17, 2002 Alice Genelle Saffell MIDLAND, Texas - Alice Genelle Saffell passed away at Midland Memorial Hospital on June 15, 2002. Genelle was born August. 3, 1928, in Electra, Texas to Homer Clyde and Alder May Shelley. She graduated from Valley View High School near Kamay and Iowa Park, Texas. Genelle married George William Saffell from St. Jo, Texas, on September 4, 1947, in Wichita Falls, Texas. A homemaker, she was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls. Genelle was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by one daughter, Janet Sue Hall and husband, Ronald K., of Midland; three grandsons: Brian Joe McNeely and wife, Heather Lynne, of Midland, David William McNeely and wife, Heather Charlene of Brownwood, and Kenny Joe Hall of Midland. Genelle is also survived by her great-granddaughter, Zoey Lynne McNeely of Midland. Visitation will be held Monday, June 17, 2002, at Ellis Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m. Funerals services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at First Christian Church with Dr. Tommy Potter officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral home.
