Payne County Farmer (Oklahoma) Wed, Nov 08, 1911 - Page 7 Obituary William F. Braswell died at his home near Savage, Ky., Oct 15, 1911, aged 81 years, 3 months and 16 days. The deceased had always lived in Kentucky, his native state, and was widely known and universally loved and respected. So many old friends and acquaintances assembled for the funeral that it became necessary to hold outdoor services, which were conducted at the Braswell cemetery by the pastor of the Baptist church in which he had for many years served the Lord as one of its deacons. The deceased was married to Elizabeth Young, who survives him, about sixty-one years ago and their eleven children are all living, four in Oklahoma and seven in Kentucky. His death is the first break in their family circle. Mr. Braswell had suffered during several months past from lung disease, but, notwithstanding his advanced age, never became entirely helpless and was on his feet only a few minutes before the end came. It is thus in the passing away of a good old man that we have an illustration of the painless, peaceful ending that usually closes a life well lived.
