Bio

Her first husband was Benjamin Franklin Warren they were married June 8, 1887 in Marshalltown, IA They had one son Raymond. The marriage was not a happy one Benjamin was a heavy drinker and was often out of work. Benjamin abandoned Ada and her son and she was eventually able to obtain a divorce in 1905. She moved to Omaha NE and married her second husband Wm Shackley. Ada also raised her granddaughter, Dorothy Naomi(my maternal grandmother) after her son Raymond's wife died two weeks after giving birth. Ada was only 4'11 so she was called "Little Grandma". My grandmother brought her out to California from Omaha to live out the last few years of her life.
