Bio
Eunice A. Williams, 80, passed from this life into her new life in Heaven early Wednesday morning, March 30, 2011. Eunice was born in Ennis, Texas on September 30, 1930 to Jay and Willie Mae (Alexander) Anthony. Eunice grew up in the Byrd community and graduated from Ennis High School. She met her husband James "Jim" R. Williams while working as a nurse and from their union three sons were born. They lived in Ennis then in Fairfield for many years before she moved back to Ennis after the death of Jim. She is survived by three sons; James Randy Williams and his wife, Janet of Edgewood, Larry Jay Williams and his wife, Carolyn of Fairfield and Michael David Williams and his partner, Guy Vardeman of Carrollton; five grandchildren; Jim, Wesley, Nathan, Rachel and Alex; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband James R. Williams in October of 1990; two brothers; Nolan D. Anthony and Owen J. Anthony and one sister Gladys Lyle. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary with Rev. Irvan Anthony officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 6 until 8 p.m. Pallbearers will be David Anthony, Michael Anthony, Wesley Williams, Nathan Williams, Alex Williams, Jim Stephens and Jason Scott. Interment will follow the service in Elm Branch Cemetery of Bardwell under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
