Hillsboro Reporter IRA GAUNTT Mr. Ira Gauntt, 94, of Hubbard died Thursday, June 27, at a Temple nursing home. He was born December 21, 1907 in Mount Calm and was raised in Hubbard. He had lived in Hubbard for 30 years before moving to Temple eight years ago. A Navy veteran and Baptist, he was a retired millwright. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Fetner Gauntt, in 1990. Survivors include: two sons, John Gauntt and wife, Nancy, of Temple and Robert Gauntt of Corpus Christi; and three grandchildren. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard with Rev. James Hooper officiating.
