Born near Comstock, NE, the son of Vaclav & Anna (Holoun) Mottl. Married Jan. 9, 1912 to Elnora Eretin Ord, NE. They retired from farming in 1959 and moved to Ord. Father of 3 sons, Frank, John,Jr. and Elder D. He had 8 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
