Hillsboro Reporter JOYCE COPELAND Joyce Copeland, 82, of Fort Worth died Thursday, June 13, at a Fort Worth hospital. She was born March 9, 1920 in Hill County, daughter of John Willard and Letha Riley Ford, and had lived in Fort Worth most of her life. She worked at Winn-Dixie in the bakery in cake decorating and sales for almost 15 years before her retirement in 1976. She was a member of West Freeway Church of Christ of Fort Worth. She married Charles Sylvester Copeland June 11, 1937, and he preceded her in death October 22, 1973. She was also preceded in death by one brother, James Ford; and one sister, Mary Laverne Williams. Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Charles Wooten of Fort Worth; one son, Charles W. Copeland of Fort Worth; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at Peoria Cemetery with Rev. Tim Wertz officiating.
