Mr Smeed has been a resident of Renick for a number of years, adn was engaged in buying and selling rags. He was a member of A Lincoln Post No 5 G A R of this city. Moberly Daily Monitor: Monday Dec 7,1896 Died Near Renick Sunday Dec 6th, Mr Elihu Smead age about 60 years. He leaves a wife and family to mourn his loss. He was a member of A Lincoln Post G. A. R. of this city.
