George P. Brannan, a former resident of Tullahoma, died Monday in Atlanta from injuries received when he was struck by a train. He was 49 years old. A native of Franklin County, he had lived in this area most of his life. He had left Tullahoma about a week ago for Atlanta. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Sherrill Brannan, of Tullahoma; five daughters, Patricia (Wilfred) Rohling, of Atlanta; Linda (Charles) Perry, of Columbus, GA; Nancy (Luther) Taylor and Miss Georgiana Brannan of Tullahoma, and Miss Sherry Brannan of Nashville; three sons, Edward A. Brannan (Nena), stationed with the U.S. Army in Panama; and Rodney C. and Jonathan C. Brannan, of Nashville; three brothers, Saul and Clayborn Brannan of Oak Grove, and and Linzy Brannan of Rutledge Hill; a sister, Mrs. Esther Buckner (Raymond) of Rutledge Hill and seven grandchildren. Motlow-Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
