Bio

Kathryn Kay (Scholz) Haack passed away on March 25, 2011 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband Randal L Haack, three sons and their families: Lee and Erica Haack and grandson Carter of Lincoln, Kris Haack and fiancée Emily Smith of Lincoln, and Ryan and Sarah Haack of Kearney, her mother Helen Scholz of Wahoo, and four brothers, Richard, Robert, Ronald and Roger. Her father, Rudolph Scholz preceded Kathy in death. Kathy was born September 5, 1953, and grew up on a farm outside of Wahoo. Following graduation from Wahoo High School, Kathy worked in Lincoln where she met Randy. They married on June 28, 1974. Her greatest passions were the relationships she shared with family and friends. She enjoyed a career as a travel agent and her favorite task was assisting families with their leisure vacations. Always a true friend, she enjoyed many good times and trips with those close to her. Even more, her talents and energies where devoted to nurturing her sons to adulthood with the values and skills to excel in life. As a wife to Randy, Kathy made their union greater than the sum of its parts. To know Kathy was to have your life enriched. Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 29th 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church 4325 Sumner Lincoln Nebraska, following burial at Lincoln Memorial Park a lunch will be served at the church. Visitation Monday 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM with family greeting friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 South 14th Street If you feel so compelled, please donate to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration and/or the ALS Association to help lead to world without such diseases.
