FRANCISCA WOLCIK KOLLATSCHNY (1879-1962) "Fannie Wolcik and Charles Kollatschny" married 24 October 1899 at Cat Spring with H. A. Hartmann, Justice of the Peace for Austin County, Texas, officiating. Marriage record returned 11 November 1899 and filed in Austin County Marriage Book I, page 388. From The New Ulm Enterprise (a newspaper published in Austin County, Texas), Thursday 10 January 1963: Mrs. Chas. Kollatschny Buried January 2 Mrs. Charles Kollatschny , 83, passed away in the Bellville hospital Dec. 31. She had been in failing health for the past six months. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Jan. 2, 1963, from the Pete E. Etlinger Funeral Home in Bellville, with the Rev. C. H. Rose officiating. Interment was in the Kollatschny cemetery. Pallbearers were Henry Ed Hood, Forrest Hodges, Eldert Michaelis, Max Wennenweser, Lynn Marsh and Norman Lee Franziena. Mrs. Kollatschny was born in Cat Spring, being the former Miss Fannie Wolchik, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wolchik. She lived on a farm near Cat Spring all her life, until 1957, when she moved to Bellville. She attended Cat Spring Public School. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church of Bellville, and the SPJST Lodge, Cat Spring. Mrs. Kollatschny, who was a good wife and mother, devoted her time to her family, being a good christian, and to her flowers. On Oct. 24, 1899 in Cat Spring, she was married to Charles Kollatschny who died Aug. 3, 1956. A son Alfred, a brother Joe Wolchik, and two sisters, Rosie Skribanek and Annie Huser, also preceded her in death. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Melba McLaughlin and Mrs. Nellie Keding of Houston, and Mrs. Monroe Smith and Mrs. Sopjie Spinks of Bellville, two sisters Emily Hartman of Houston, and Mrs. Minnie Skalak of Cat Spring; three brothers Chas.and Willie Wolchik of Cat Spring, and Frank Wolchik of Temple; eight grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
