Bio

Miller, George E., 78, retired District Chief for the Wichita Fire Dept. and retired Warrant Officer for the Sedgwick County Sherriff Dept., passed away March 19, 2011. He is preceded in death by parents, brothers John and Daniel Miller, and sister Pauline Unruh. Survived by wife Lila Miller, sons: Steve (Kathy) Miller and Jim (Julene) Miller; daughter: Alisa (Randy) Phillips; brother: Vern (Paula) Miller; sister: Wanda Farmer; and grandchildren: Travis and Nick Phillips, April and Jake Miller, and Leah Miller. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Wed. and funeral service will be Thurs. at 10:30 A.M. both at Westside Christian Church. Memorials have been established with Hospice Care of Kansas 808 S. Hillside Wichita, KS 67211 and Westside Christian Church 1819 W Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS 67213.
