Bio
Bonnie Baxter Alexander, age 82, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 2, 1929, in Springville, Utah, the daughter of Hugh A. and Gwen Houston Baxter. She graduated from Springville High School and attended BYU. She married her sweetheart Ralph H. Alexander and they spent 58 joyful years together. Today, they are dancing in Heaven. Bonnie worked for the state of Utah. She was an excellent seamstress and homemaker and she loved to travel and shop. She always had a positive outlook on life. She was a caring wife, wonderful mom and best grandma in the whole world! Bonnie was preceded in death by her dear husband, Ralph; her parents; her brother, Hoyt Baxter; sister, Ruth Nielsen; and sister, Della Clark. She is survived by her children, Shonnie Whitney (Larry); Craig Alexander (Danna); and Maridene Hancock; four grandchildren, Alex, Amy, Valerie and Maylee; three great-grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service for Bonnie on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South. The family will receive friends and family on Friday, March 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 26, from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive. Interment will be held at Elysian Burial Gardens. Published in the Salt Lake Tribune from March 25 to March 26, 2011.
