Whitney Messenger, Friday, February 21, 1992 Mrs. Alma Epps Mrs Alma Epps, a homemaker of Whitney, died Tuesday morning, February 18, in a Whitney nursing home. Funeral service was at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 20, at the Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Whitney. the Reverend Eddie Booth officiated. Burial was in Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. She was 90. Mrs. Epps was born November 21, 1901 in Hill County, the daughter of Ken and Sally (Dyer) Rose. She married George J. Epps in 1921 and he proceded her in death on March 3, 1966. She was also preceded in deathby a son Bobby Epps in 1945 during World War II, and a daughter, Joyce R. Sexton in August 1965. Mrs. Epps lived in Hill County, most of her life. She was a member of the Prairie Valley Baptist Church. Mrs. Epps is survived by one son, G.J. Epps of Whitney, one brother, J.C. Rose f Hillsboro and three grandchildren.
