Grapeland Messenger - September 1, 2005 Obit for Funeral services for Nancy Lou Huff Neill, 56 of Athens were held Monday, August 29, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Athens with Mike Dean Officiating. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. at the Dailey Community Cemetery near Grapeland under the direction of the Cooper Funeral Home of Athens. Pallbearers were Kyle Huff, Ken Skidmore, Brad Huff, Ken Skidmore, Brad Huff, Danny Luce, Hayden Schweinle and Richard Bandy. Mrs. Neill passed away Friday, August 26, 2005 in Athens. She was born April 17, 1949 in Crockett to Harvey and Molly Huff. She was raised in Grapeland and graduated from school there in 1967. She moved to Athens in 1976 and married Oran Neill on July 17, 1982. She was a previous employee of TX Department of Human Services, North American Coal and retired from TX, North American Coal and retired from TX Rehabilitation Commission in 2003. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Athens. She had a great devotion for her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed the presence of many friends and especially her church family. She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Huff in 2003 and her husband, Oran Neill in February of 2005. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Amy Guidry and Rodney Wyatt of Marthaville, LA, Ali Guidry and Scott Tyner of Carthage; mother, Molly Nelson Huff of Grapeland; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan and Necia Huff and Paul and Charlotte Huff both of Grapeland; sister and brother-in-law, Janis and Kenneth Skidmore of Mont Belvieu; grandchildren, Abby Lou Hinds and Emmy Hinds of Marthaville, LA, Andrew Dalton Tyner and Alexander Neill Tyner of Carthage and numerous nieces and nephews.
