FROM THE BAPTISM RECORDS OF ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH, ZIONSVILLE, WASHINGTON COUNTY, TEXAS: WILHELM HEINRICH CHRISTIAN GASKAMP born 21 February 1886, in Zionsville, baptized 26 March 1886, by Pastor Rudolf Jaeggli, at Zion Lutheran Church. Father's name: (not given); Mother's name: Sophie, nee Gaskamp, from Westphalia, Prussia. Baptismal sponsors: Wilhelm Gaskamp, Heinrich Haferkamp, and Christian Gaskamp. *Note: Wilhelm was 10 months old when his mother, Sophie, died, and he was adopted by Ernst and Henriette Kuretsch on 25 January 1887. ******************************************************************* FROM THE DEATH AND BURIAL RECORDS OF ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH, ZIONSVILLE, WASHINGTON COUNTY, TEXAS: WILHELM KURETSCH, born on 21 February 1886, died on 7 April 1896, buried on 8 April 1896. Wilhelm was the adopted son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernst Kuretsch and was killed on Easter Monday when a rogue cow struck him in the left eye. Funeral and burial rites conducted by Pastor G. Stricker.
