Bio

Childress – Final rites were conducted Thursday for Frank Miller, 40-year-old Childress county farmer who was killed Monday afternoon when he was struck by a bolt of lightning during a brief thundershower near Tell. The funeral was at the McMinn chapel, conducted by John G. Reese, minister of the Church of Christ, and burial was in the Childress cemetery. Pallbearers were O. T. Rothwell, Arthur Rothwell, J. D. Murray, Lou Hamner, Willard Mullins and Cecil Gardner. Miller is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Julian Larned of Watertown, N. Y, and Lela Miller of Childress; three sisters and a brother. He was killed instantly when the bolt hit him while he and three other men were chopping cotton of the O. T. Rothwell farm near Tell.
