Bio
Alinda M. Fickel, 60, passed away Monday, March 21, 2011, at her home in Hewitt. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 25, at Brazos Meadows Baptist Church in Hewitt, with Pastor Billy Edwards officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Waco Memorial Funeral Home. Alinda was born in West, Texas, to Bernard Kocian and Ruby Schroeder Kocian. She graduated from Waco High School in 1969. Alinda met and married Kenneth Fickel in Waco on March 6, 1971. Alinda Marie was preceded in death by her father, Bernard. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; son, David Fickel, of South Carolina; daughters, Donna Hislope, of Odessa, and Diana Leutwyler, of Cushing; grandsons, Logan, Dalton and Kaleb Leutwyler, and Casyn and Bryce Hislope; granddaughter, Rayleigh Leutwyler; brothers, Roger Kocian, of Bellmead, and Mike Kocian, of Kingwood; sisters, Lydia Itani, of Rowlett, Delores Jones, of West, and Elaine Shipley, of Jonesboro; and other family members and many friends.
