Services for Troy Nixon Crowder, 84, of Snyder will be at 10 a.m. today in Snyder Cemetery with the Rev. Marvin Applin officiating. Burial will be under direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Crowder died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, in Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospital. He was born May 7, 1914, in Ira. He married Gloria Green in Mexico. She died in 1994. He was a Presbyterian. He was a driller in West Texas and New Mexico. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include a son, Troy Dean of Tyler; a brother, Doyle of Roscoe; two sisters, Lanette Patterson of San Angelo and Faye Shotell of Paradise, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
