Johnny Moody (1941-2011) DENISON - Johnny D. Moody, age 69, entered into eternal life Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Homestead of Sherman. Mr. Moody was born July 26, 1941 in Leonard, Texas the son of Carrol and Lillian (Bowers) Moody. Johnny married the love of his life Charlotte Earley on May 3, 1972 in Durant. He retired from the City of Denison after 23 years of service. Johnny loved to race cars at Grayson County Speedway and enjoyed all sports. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Moody is survived by his loving family, wife, Charlotte Moody of Denison, Texas, sons, Jonathan Cregg Moody of Ft. Worth, Texas and John Mark Moody of Denison, Texas; daughter, LaFonda Moody Maggard of Ft. Worth, Texas, ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, brothers, Joe Bob Moody and wife, Bonnie of Sherman, Texas and Bill Moody of Blue Ridge, Texas, sisters, Vida Rae Rodgers of Sherman, Texas and Florene Woods, brother-in-law, Jimmy Lee Earley of Denison, Texas and Steve Sprague of Gordonville, Texas; nieces, Shelia Rodgers Brown and husband, Dave, Carlyon Moody Shearin and husband, David; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents, great-grandson, David Garner, brothers, James Moody and George Moody and sister, Hattie Mae Moore. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Fairview Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Bill Beal and Rev. Dewayne Johnston officiating. Family visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Fisher Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Lane Minchew, Brad Park, Cass Johnson, Jerome Boyle, Ernest Teague and Gary Griffitt. The family would like to thank Victory Home Health and Hospice for their care especially, Barb, Susan Fletcher, Susan Bennet and Kelly. Also, to all his friends at The City of Denison for their hard work and fun, and for the business, churches and organizations that do so much for the employee's of The City of Denison.
