. . . . . . . . . . Death Claims Milam Native November 10 . -- William (Billy) Brockenbush, 80, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 4:45 p.m. at his residence, 323 West Davilla St., after a sudden illness. Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.mm. at the Phillips & Luckey Chapel with burial in the IOOF Cemetery. The Rev. Allison Joyce, pastor of the First Christian Church, and the Rev. F.T. Sager, a former pastor of Peace Lutheran Church here, officiated. Mr. Brockenbush had been a member of the First Christian Church for a number of years. Born April 21, 1876, near Rockdale, Mr. Brockenbush had spent his entire life in Milam County. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brockenbush and had been a farmer and rancher before his retirement a number of years ago. He married Miss Emma Lange in Rockdale on Aug. 15, 1900, and she died in December 1952. Surviving are one son, Harry Brockenbush of San Antonio; three daughters, Mrs. Ernest Noack, Mrs. J.B. Earls, and Mrs. Wm. Henry Stutts, all of Rockdale; two brothers, Charlie Brockenbush and Albert Brockenbush, both of Rockdale; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Kelia and Mrs. Louis Kirchenwitz of Rockdale, and Mrs. Max Rinn of the Sharp community.
