Canton Herald Sept. 1981 Emmie Hukill Services for Mrs. Emmie Melissa Hukill, 76, of Ben Wheeler, were held Tuesday in the Eubank Funeral Home chapel in Canton with Rev. W.W. Taylor officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery in Wood County. Mrs. Hukill died Monday in Ben Wheeler following a lengthy illness. She was born April 10, 1905, in Alba, and lived in Van Zandt County 10 years. Prior to that, she lived in Alba, Mesquite and Grand Saline. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Ben Wheeler. Survivors include four sons, E.J. Hukill of Ft. Worth, Joel D. Hukill of Longview, R. V. Hukill of Van and Ronnie Hukill of Hawkins; four daughters, Mrs. Virginia Williamson of San Angelo, Mrs. Kitty Brockway of Ben Wheeler, Mrs. Mary Lindsey of Ben Wheeler and Mrs., Emmie Joe Freeman of Van; one brother Manuel Culverhouse of Farmersville; two sisters, Mrs. Coy Holt of Garland and Mrs. Margie Eddy of McKinney; 37 grandchildren; and 36 great grandchildren.
