Bill Leonard CHILDRESS - Bill Leonard, 67, died Sunday, May 25, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johnny Robertson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Childress Cemetery. Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home. Mr. Leonard was born in Acme. He was a retired supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service. He married Marcia Kinney in 1950 at Childress. He was on the board of directors for Childress Regional Medical Center and on the board of directors for the Childress County Youth Project Show. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he was a lay leader, and member of the Hughes Sunday school class. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 695, Eastern Star No. 101, and treasure of the Old Settlers Association. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Karen Leonard and Julia Olson, both of Childress; his mother, Sallie Leonard of Quanah; two sisters, Sue Gentry and Marie Wells, both of Quanah; and three grandchildren.
