Bio

Famous Texas NightClub Builder: "Doc" Horn - Owned and Built Lancaster's once very popular western club - "The Crystal Chandelier". Many famous names played there through the years. (Conway Twitty, Lynn Anderson,Ronnie Milsap, George Jones, Johnny Cash - and on and on goes the list of Country Gold). Doc also built "Cowboys" in Arlington, TX and was instrumental in the building and all around persona of "Gilley's" of Mickey Gilley Fame in Pasadena, TX. Doc was called on for many other Famous Country Music Dance Hall construction efforts. He was WELL KNOWN. Doc raised his family - they had lived in Oak Cliff (Dallas) on La Rue Street in the Western Park addition. The Family's house was "famous" in the neighborhood. Doc had added a second floor and more than doubled the size of the home. That was spectacular in the 70's in a "cookie cutter" neighborhood. The children attended Leslie A. Stemmons Elementary School. In the mid 1970's, the Horn Family moved to Lancaster, TX. He was friends with many country legends - his dearest friend was Gary Stewart. The King of Honky Tonk. Rest in peace Doc.
