Obit from Sue Lilley TEMPLE — Services for John J. Machalck, 97, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Dossman Funeral Home Chapel in Belton with the Rev. John Bravenec officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Machalck died Oct. 6, 2000, at a Temple nursing center. He was born in Rosebud, the son of Joseph and Janie Stastny Machalck. Machalck married Ellen Krahulik Nov. 29, 1927, in Temple. She preceded him in death Nov. 21, 1999. He was a farmer. Machalck was a longtime member of the Seaton Brethren Church, where he taught Sunday school and a Confirmation class. Later, he moved his membership to the Evangelical Brethren Church in Temple. Survivors include two daughters, Constance "Connie" Britton and Johnette Lewis, both of Belton; a brother, Antone Machalck of Temple; a sister, Anna Babovec of Temple; two grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
