Bio

LaRayne Thorn Bird, 75, of Springville, died July 6, 1999, of a heart attack after an extended illness with leukemia. LaRayne was born February 12, 1924, in Storrs. She was the third child of Orland and Millie Sophrona Jensen Thorn . She married Roy W. Bird in Evanston, WY, on February 23, 1945. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Gayle. She is survived by her husband, Roy; her children: LaLeene and Gary Ricks; Jeannine Bird and Jerry R. and Nalani Bird; two brothers, Ted O. Thorn and Blaine R. Thorn; a sister, Lois Thorn; five grandchildren: David and Kara Ricks and Nichole, Derrick and Conrad Bird; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Burial was July 9, 1999.
