Bio

U.S. Army Air Forces, 748th Bomber Squadron, 457th Bomber Group, Heavy. Shot down by enemy fighters aboard B-17G Flying Fortress #42-31517 over Mont St. Martin, France, on mission to Augsburg. Seven crew killed, one evaded capture and two became prisoners of war. The crew members killed were: 2nd Lt. James R. Chinn 2nd Lt. Robert F. Cooper S/Sgt. Robert J. Mullins Sgt. Dillard V. Engdahl Sgt. Jeremiah B. Rolison Sgt. Marion D. Ross Sgt. William J.J. Sullivan
