Elias' obituaries from unnamed newspapers, Aug 1935: "Elias Livengood Dies Suddenly This Morning. Elias Livengood, 71 for thirty years a resident of Dallas, died suddenly Thursday morning. For many years he was a yardmaster for railroads in Dallas. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. F. A. [Willie Jones] Young, Georgetown; Mrs. Grace Sanford, Chicago, and Mrs. W. B. [Mildred] Biddle and Catherine Strength, Dallas. In addition, he left behind six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements had not been completed Thursday noon." "ELIAS LIVENGOOD, 71, SUCCUMBS TO HEART ATTACK THURSDAY. Funeral arrangements were being made Thursday for Elias Livengood, 71 who died suddenly of a heart attack at his home, 503 North Marsalis Avenue, Thursday morning. Mr. Livengood was seated at the breakfast table talking with his daughter, Mrs. W. B. [Mildred] Biddle, when he fell from his chair. An ambulance was summoned and the stricken man taken to Methodist Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. The body is at Weiland Undertaking Company. Surviving, other than Mrs. Biddle, are three daughters, Mrs. F. A. [Willie Jones] Young of Georgetown, Mrs. Grace Sanford, Chicago, and Mrs. Katherine Strength of Dallas."
