Orville L. Cannon was born on October 9th, 1903 in Henry County, Missouri. He married Helen Myers on November 24th, 1938. She was born on April 18, 1909. They onced lived at 1221 S. Stewart Street, Sedalia, Pettis County, Missouri. Orville died on December 11th, 1965 in Sedalia and Helen died around the 13th of March, 1969 in Sedalia. They are buried at Crown Hill Cemetery in Sedalia, Missouri. *The Sedalia Democrat, Sedalia, Missouri, Sunday Morning, December 12th, 1956 Orville L. Cannon (Sedalia) Orville L. Cannon, 62, 706 West Third, died at his home at 11am, Saturday. He was born near Windsor, October 9th, 1903, the son of the late William H. and Ida Belle Plecker Cannon. On November 24th, 1938, he married to Helen Myers who survives of the home. Mr. Cannon had been a resident of Sedalia for the past 30 years. He had been a bookkeeper for the Bryant Motor Company and the W. A. Smith Motor Company. He retired several years ago because of his health. He was a member of the East Broadway Christian Church, a member of the Granite Lodge No. 272, AF and AM and the Scottish Rite. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Iris Gerhardt, Independence; Mrs. Shirley Godgry, Kansas City; two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Gillespie Funeral home with the Rev. Cleo Gray officiating. Pallbearers will be W. A. McVey, Martin Lange, Al Gardner, George Riley, John Gerdts and Dr. Reinhold Fischer. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. The body is at the Gillespie Funeral Home.
