Alton "Ray" Brown, 62 Mr. Alton "Ray" Brown, age 62 of Scroggins, passed away on Sunday, March 06, 2011. He was born on Tuesday, October 05, 1948 in Deport, TX to the late Eugene Brown and Ila Mae Harper Brown. He was a retired powder coater, a Baptist, and a member of the American Legion Post 243 in Mt. Vernon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Elaine Harris Brown; and grandson, William Barker. He is survived by daughters, Marjorie Jackson and husband Andrew of Scroggins, Delana Barker and husband Milton Wetzel of Winnsboro, Kimberly Barker and husband Jr. of Talco; brothers, Bobby Brown and wife Mary of Mt. Pleasant, Gerald Brown and wife Angie of Leesburg; sisters, Pat Blalock of Scroggins, Charlotte Day and husband Richard of New Boston; grandchildren, Heather, Milton, Brittany, Brian, Christal, Courtney, Samantha, Tracey, Kerstin, Coty, Jackie, Felicia; one great-grandchild, Elaine Ray; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Beaty Funeral Home , 816 W. Broadway, Winnsboro, Texas. Services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Beaty Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Interment will be at DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, TX, on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 2:15 PM. Pallbearers will be, Jamie Brown, Jeff Brown, Chris Day, Ricky Krantz, Art Swanson, Michael Brown, Bobby Brown, Jr., Chris Tillman.
