Friday, October 04, 2002 Wanda Bush services set Graveside services for Mrs. Wanda McDonald Bush, age 72 of Sherman, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Akers Cemetery in Sherman with Rev. Dennis Morris of the Bible Baptist Church in Savannah, Ga. and Dr. Eddy Johnson of the Grayson Bible Baptist Church in Sherman, Texas officiating. Mrs. Bush died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002. She was born on April 3, 1930 on a farm in Western Oklahoma, the daughter of John and Anna Hicks. A family night was scheduled to be observed from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. this evening in the Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas (telephone 903-893-1171). On March 26, 1950 she married Jessie Dewey McDonald, Jr. They spent their lives traveling with the United States Air Force until he preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 1964. She then settled in Sherman, Texas with her four children. She worked for Kmart for 10 years. On Nov. 29, 1986 she married Lloyd Frank Bush who preceded her in death on June 12, 2001. Mrs. Bush had several hobbies, including crocheting, baking, decorating cakes, ceramics, sewing, flowers and playing dominoes. She was a member of the North Park Baptist Church. Survivors include sons Johnny McDonald and his wife, Gail, of Watauga, Texas, James Dale McDonald of Sherman, Texas; daughters, Phyllis Shaver and her husband, Tommy, of Sherman, Texas, Susan Morris and her husband, Dennis, of Savannah, Ga.; six grandchildren, Melissa McDonald, Christina Shaver, Tony Shaver, Matthew Morris, Jonathan McDonald, Merideth Morris; a sister, Carolyn Fields of Clinton; nieces and nephews; two stepsons, Larry Bush and his wife, Wanda, of Rowlett, Texas, Mark Bush and his wife, Stacy, of Las Vegas, Nev.; six step grandchildren; one great step grandson. The family suggests that those who desire may make memorial contributions in Mrs. Bush's honor to the North Park Baptist Church Tape Ministry or Building Fund or to the North Park Baptist Church Tape Ministry or Building Fund or to the Grayson Bible Baptist Church Building Fund.
