MM2 US NAVY WORLD WAR I Dane and Lillian are interred together, they share the headstone Dane on the front, Lillian on the back. The following was provided by Mitzi Fay: ...His sister and brother, listed as survivors, are now both deceased. Reno Evening Gazette, Sat., Feb. 19, 1966, p.2, col.1 Graveside military services for Dane Kirkbride, 72, of Klamath Falls, Ore., will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, Calif. Walton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Kirkbride died Thursday in a Reno hospital. He was born Aug. 20, 1893, in Vermont, Ill. He had been in Reno ten days. A veteran of World War I, he was a retired machinist for Southern Pacific Railroad. He was a member of World War I Barracks of Klamath Falls. Survivors include his widow, Lillian A. Kirkbride of Klamath Falls; a sister, Mertina Rankin of Yucaipa, Calif.; and a brother, Earl Kirkbride of San Francisco.
