Bio

Alma Elise Albrecht, 92, died Friday, June 9, 1989, in the Hamilton Nursing Home after an extended illness. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 11, at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville with Pastor Wilburn Kensing officiating. Burial was in the Pottsville Public Cemetery. Mrs. Albrecht was born in Bartlett, on October 3, 1896, to Gottfried and Minnie Guezel Witzsche. She moved to Hamilton County in 1907. On November 26, 1914, [Hamilton County Marriage Records shows 02 Nov. 1914, Vol.7, Pg 44] she married Martin C. Albrecht who preceded her in death on February 28, 1982. She was a housewife, mother, and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville. She had two children, Erna Spitzenberger of Shive and Martha Dozier of Fort Worth. She also had three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Two sisters survived her, Matilda Noack of Hamilton and Emma Kohler of Pottsville. Two sisters, Mary Marwitz and Annie Tischler, and one brother, Walter Witzsche, preceded her in death. Pallbearers were Adrian Spitzenberger, Garland Spitzenberger, James Tischlet, Joe Garcia, Bobby Garcia, Alfred Noack and Delvin Kohler. Shared by Roy Ables
