Veronika Labay daughter of John and Johanna Becak.Veronika Becak married Michael John Labay. __________________________________ Mrs.M.D. Labay Died At Nada Sunday Evening Mrs.M.D. Labay died at her home in Nada at 7 o'clock Sunday evening,death being due to cerebral hemorrhage.She suffered an attack at 10 a.m. Sunday,and was unconscious from that hour until death.She suffered a paralytic stroke about two months ago,from which she never fully recovered. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning from the home,with Requiem High Mass at St. Mary's church at 9 o'clock.Father Weber,our pastor,assisted by Father Pustka,officiated.Interment was made in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs.Labay was born May 10,1887.at Garwood.and was married on October 17,in 1905. She is survived by her parents,Mr. and Mrs.John Becak,Sr.,her husband,and three children,Mrs.Martha Cernoch,Mrs.Mary Sauer and Miss Emma Labay,all of Houston;two sisters,Mrs.Frank Kana of El Campo and Mrs.Emil Kubesch of Hillje:two brothers,John Becak of Garwood and Joe Becak of Nada. She was an active worker In this community,a member of the K.J.Z.T. and the Christian Mothers .societies,of which organizations she had served as president and secretary a number of terms. Although Mrs.Labay was able to be up and about after her first stroke,she realized her condition and had made preparations for the end,selecting her own pall-bearers,who were James Safar,John Silva,Fred D, Labay,Dan Dornak,Jerome Labay and J.F.
