Bio

his widow states in her application for a Confederate Pension, her husband enlisted in Co. E Whitfields Legion, Ross's Texas Brigade. Whitfield became ill and in mid December 1863, Lawrence Sullivan Ross assumed command of the Texas Calvry brigade.
