He was born to William Moberly and Hettie Kaiser Moberly. Ted graduated from Bentonville High School, class of 1938, and played football for BHS. He and his wife Juanita owned and operated the Texaco gas station on the Missouri-Arkansas state line from 1945-1965. In 1957, Ted planted his first vineyard and apple orchard, near what is now called Moberly Lane in Bentonville. His agricultural knowledge was widely sought out, including gardening skills which won county fair ribbons and fed family and friends with record size 5-pound turnips. Ted enjoyed water skiing and camping on Beaver Lake, still skiing at the age of 70. He taught many of his nieces and nephews and their friends how to ski. He enjoyed traveling, having been a member of the Bella Vista Good Sam's Club for over 20 years. Ted was always very social and relational, and was very proud to be a member of the Meet & Eat breakfast group that has gathered every Tuesday for the past 20 years. He was very active in the First Christian Church of Bentonville since 1938, serving as a deacon and trustee. Ted was a resident and respected businessman in Bentonville for over 70 years. Ted was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Juanita Lawson Moberly in 1997. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, John Kennedy, Bill Moberly and Tom Moberly, and a sister, Opal Kennedy. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, 2 sisters & one brother-in-law, 2 grandchildren and their spouces, 3 great-grandchildren. He was 84 when he passed away at his home.
