Bio

Vera Lorraine Holmes, 89, of Burwell, died Saturday, Feb 26, 2011, at the Valley County Health Systems Hospital in Ord. Vera was born May 8, 1921, in Loup County to George and Vallie (Weber) Stevens. Vera married Otho Holmes on Sep 8, 1946, in Taylor. He died on Jan 8, 1966. Survivors are: daughters, Jerryl and Tim Rowse of Burwell, Janice and Jim Taylor of Stuart, Joye and Edward Lee of Burwell, Jane Holmes and Neal Coyle of McCook and Julie Wilson of Hershey; seven grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
