William Heckathorn Services for William Dewey Heckathorn, 86, Middleton, formerly of Nampa, who died Thursday, Dec. 20, in a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel with the Rev. G. W. Iwersen, pastor of the Boise Euclid Avenue Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Private interment will follow at the Kohlerlawn Cemetery. Mr. Heckathorn was born March 3, 1898, at Decatur, Iowa. He was reared and educated in Iowa. He married Ruth V. Cox Sept. 22, 1919, at Mullen, Neb., where they lived for nine years before moving to the Nampa area. He was an orchardist in the Sunnyslope area for a number of years. He worked as a foreman for the U.S. Forest Service for 19 years. Mrs. Heckathorn preceded him in death in March of 1973. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America. He is survived by two sons, Warren Heckathorn, Anaheim, Calif., and Wayne Heckathorn, Mattawa, Wash.; one daughter, Carol Bandhauer, Middleton; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
