He was the son of Kerney and Edna Lee (Egger) Boyd.on feb 20,1949 he married Kathryn Fannie Foster.he was also known as buster boud..he graduated from howard payne college in brownwood and was a school teacher and girls basket ball coach.he was a rancher and served as a precinct commissioner in brown county
