Elma Virginia Tempelmeyer (August 21, 1920 - February 17, 2011) Elma Virginia Tempelmeyer, age 90, entered into eternal life Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Hilltop Haven in Gunter. Ms. Tempelmeyer was born August 21, 1920 in Robertsdale, Alabama the daughter of Fred and Bertha (Cooper) Tempelmeyer. Virginia graduated from the Masonic Home in Fort Worth, Texas. She worked most of her life as a secretary in Houston and Dallas and retired form Texoma Medical Center after returning to Denison. Virginia enjoyed all sorts of crafts with cross stitching being her favorite. She loved the Lord and was a member of Morton Street Church of Christ. Ms. Tempelmeyer was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Alice Sampson, and brother, Charles Tempelmeyer. Virginia is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, Cheryl Young, Terri Capshaw, Charles Sampson, all of Denison and Melvin Tempelmeyer of New Zealand. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in Chapel on the Hill at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Family visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Fisher Funeral Home.
