BELTON — Services for Wanda Piper, 90, of Temple will be 2 p.m. Friday at Murphree Cemetery in Evant with the Rev. Brian Dunk officiating. Mrs. Piper died Monday, Feb. 21, in a Temple nursing home. She was born May 29, 1920, in Mills County to Anon Lee and Ora Lea Hodo Flatt. She grew up in Hamilton County and was a graduate of Evant High School. She married William L. "Bill" Piper on Dec. 14, 1938, in Lampasas. She lived in Victoria, San Antonio and Beaumont before moving to Salado in 1978. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Salado. Survivors include a son, Trent Piper of McGregor. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. TEMPLE DAILY TELEGRAM. Published: February 23, 2011.
