Texas, U.S. Birth Certificates, 1903-1909 Johana Brom White Female born September 18, 1905 Witting, Lavaca, Texas to Matej Brom born Bohemia and Emilie Brom Born Bohemia Funeral Services held Monday afternoon in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Megargel with Rev. Bart J. Landwermeyer, Officiating. Mrs. Simek died Saturday, March 5, 1994 in a local hospital. She was born September 18, 1905 in Praha and she and John Henry Simek were married September 21, 1927, in Megargel. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and its Women's Auxiliary. She resided in Megargel before moving to Olney in 1967. Survivors include a daughter Dorothy Matus of Megargel; one sister, Agnes Hrncirik of Seymour; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
