Parents: Josef and Rose (Zahn) Pechacek Funeral services for Emil L. Pechacek, 95, of Megargel were held Tuesday afternoon at St.Mary's Catholic Church in Megargel with the Rev. Aidan Donlon officiating. He died Sunday, Feb. 6, 1994, in a local hospital. Born October 16, 1898 in Shiner, Pechacek was a longtime Megargel resident. He was a farmer and rancher and a member of the Knights of Columbus for 57 years and of St. Mary's Church. He married Margaret Mary Kovar April 19, 1927, in Megargel. She preceded him in death April 14, 1959. Survivors include three sons, Ed Pechacek and John Pechacek, both of Megargel, and Jim Pechacek of Las Vegas; a sister Louise Churchill of Mercedes; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
