Bertha Hipke Sheboygan Press October 25, 1937 Chilton—Mrs. A. S. Hipke, well-known resident here, died at Columbia hospital in Milwaukee today, following an operation Friday. Mrs. Hipke was born in this city July 28, 1870, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Paulsen and spent practically all of her life here. She was graduated from Chilton High School and on October 20, 1894, was united in marriage to A. S. Hipke. Mrs. Hipke was affiliated with the German Ladies' Aid society of Chilton and was a charter member of the Chilton chapter, Order of Eastern Star. Survivors are; two sons and two daughters, Lester Hipke, Mrs. R. F. (Lucille) Maples and Harold Hipke, Chilton and Mrs. Armand (Irma) Wothe of Oshkosh, two grandchildren, Betty Lou Maples and Robert Hipke of Chilton, and three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Guetersohn, Milwaukee; Mrs. Dorrit Roecker, Duluth and Mrs. Emma Schultheis, Minneapolis, Minn.
