LaRue Martin Fuit Payne HOOPER – LaRue Payne, 74, passed away peacefully at her home on October 20, 2003 from kidney failure. LaRue was born on February 26, 1929 in Wilson Lane, Utah to John Milton Martin and George Ann Mobley. She married Dean Albert Fuit and together they had eight children and made their home in Clinton, Utah. They were later divorced and he later died. She married Harold Williams and he later died. She married Glen Cook and he later died. She then married Leon Payne, they have resided in Hooper, Utah until her death. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a strong testimony and belief of our Eternal Father in Heaven. LaRue had many talents and hobbies. She enjoyed gardening, cake decorating and kept a beautiful home. She loved the outdoors and camping and fishing. She was a great water skier in her day. She was a wonderful cook. She also loved music and dancing. She loved to "trip the light fantastic." Her greatest gift in life was caring for and teaching others. She was always looking out for others and built many strong and lasting friendships. She is survived by her husband A. Leon Payne, Hooper, UT; Her children: Cheryl (Terry) Fullmer, Karen (Dan) Widdison, Cindy (Arverd) Taylor, Gale (Dana) Smith all of Clinton, Utah; and David "Butch" (Kristie) Fuit of Clearfield, UT. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are four sisters Carma ( John) Thurgood, Diane Seiber of Clinton, Utah; Joan (Darrell) Burningham, West Point, Utah and Patricia (Ron) McGuire, Northern California, three brothers, Gary (JoAnn) Seiber and Bernie Seiber, Northern California and Bruce Martin, Ogden, Utah. Preceding her in death were her parents, her grandparents, and three beloved children, Dale Fuit (twin), Dennis Dean Fuit and Kristine Fuit. Her brothers, Keith Martin, Vern Martin and Rex Martin. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Vista Care Hospice for the care and comfort they have given. Also, a special thanks to Dr. Layne Barker for his longtime care and service.
