Graveside service for Maxine Mae (Short) Cox, 76, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Pullman City Cemetery. Born in Dayton, Wash., daughter of Russell and Lillian (Savage) Short, Mrs. Cox died Wednesday. Her family moved to Pullman when she was a child and she graduated from Pullman High School in 1941. She married Stanley Cox in 1963. Mrs. Cox sworked as a dental assistant for Dr. Don Riedel in Pullman for 10 years. She later worked as a manager for Ferdinand's Creamery on the Washington State University campus for 12 years. She then worked at Finch's Grocery Store in Pullman and retired in 1990. She was a member of Ewartsville Grange in Pullman, Pullman Lady Jaycees and Moscow Elks Lodge. Survivors include her husband;; a daughter, Sharon Ledeman of Pullman; two sisters, Nancy Dabrio of Shasta, Calif., and Sandra Laughlin of Germany; two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.
