Rites Pending For Maudie Ann Brandon Funeral services for Mrs. Maudie Ann Brandon, 82, are pending at Newberry Funeral Home. Burial will be here. Mrs. Brandon died at 1:30 p.m. today in Childress General Hospital following a brief illness. She was born May 24, 1892 near Oklahoma City, and came to Childress from Quanah 24 years ago. She and D.B. Brandon were married June 12, 1910. She was a member of the Parkview Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, Oran Brandon of Alhambra, Calif., and Jesse Brandon of Dumas; three daughters, Veda Gholston of Aspermont, Emma Baker of Bakerville [sic], Calif.; and Mrs. Beulah Daniel of Pantex, Tex.; two half-brothers, Tom Allen and Lon Allen, both of Oklahoma City; two half sisters, Evie Nichols of California and Odela Testermant of Oklahoma; one sister; 19 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
