Bio

CHILDRESS - Frances Pearl Griffith Rutledge, 90, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, in Denton. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johnny Robertson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home. Mrs. Rutledge was born Feb. 24, 1914, in Young. She married Wilmer R. Rutledge on Dec. 10, 1933, in Hobart, Okla. Survivors include three daughters, Cecelia Briley of Albuquerque, N.M., and Judy Evans and Patricia Bryan, both of Denton; a son, Thomas Rutledge of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
