Dorman Mush Shirey, 98, of Sullivan passed away 8:40 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 13, 2011) in Sullivan Health Care. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan, with visitation two hours before services. Burial will be Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan, with military rites. Memorials: Sullivan Senior Center or donor's choice. Mr. Shirey was born Sept. 13, 1912, in Pana, the son of Carl and Laura Jones Robison. He was a member of the American Legion Post 68, Sullivan. He was a World War II Army veteran. He married Juanita W. Briscoe on Aug. 4, 1934. She preceded him in death Oct. 23, 1988. Surviving are his sister-in-law, Donella Davis; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three sisters; two brothers; and adopted parents, Joe and Elizabeth Shirey. Herald & Review - Decatur, Illinois February 15, 2011 - D4
