Bio
Dr. John Graham, 74, of Idabel, died Tuesday near Dallas, Texas. He was born Aug. 23, 1918, in Greenock, Scotland, to Kenneth Graham and Christine Morrison Graham. He graduated from Glasgow University of Medicine in 1954 and practiced surgery in Houston and Richardson, Texas, and in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. He was a general surgeon at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel, Oklahoma. He and Pat King were married Sept. 13, 1973, in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Graham was a member of the Southern Medical Association, Oklahoma Medical Association, and American Medical Association and an associate member of the M.D. Anderson Cancer and Tumor Institute. He served as team doctor for the Dallas Tornado Soccer team. He was a veteran of the Royal Air Force where he served as a bombardier. He was of the Presbyterian faith. Dr. Graham is survived by his wife, Pat Graham of Idabel; three daughters, Kristi Graham of London, England, Ruth Jameson of Prosper, Texas, and Serena Brantingham of Rome, Italy; two sons, Bobby Graham of Tom, Oklahoma and Billy Conley of Mansfield, Texas; two brothers, Dr. Finley Graham of Dallas, Texas, and Dr. Donald Graham of Oban, Scotland; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in McKinney, Texas.
